MATH LEARNING CARDS

Montessori Math starts with concrete, sensorial materials that help young children build intuition about abstract mathematical concepts, such as quantity, the Base Ten Number System, or operations. As children progress, the materials become more abstract, moving from using Number Rods, counters and Golden Beads, to Stamp Game, and then to Bead Frames. Children gradually construct a mathematical mind inside themselves through their interactions with the materials.
